My name is Kati and I live in Siuntio, which is a small village right outside Helsinki area.

 

Most of the time, I work from my home studio. I have  a beautiful kitchen with big windows, and my own space for studio equipment and all my props (and there is quite a lot of them). I love natural light, but sometimes studio lighting is necessary to get high quality photos, especially during the dark winter months.

I have over 15 years of experience in photography. Most of this time I have worked with several stock agencies, photographing large variety of different subjects.  After shooting little bit of everything, I finally found my passion from food photography, because it perfectly combines the things I love in my everyday life.

 

I cook and bake the food I shoot, I grow herbs and vegetables for my photos and even create props I use in the photos.  I´m also always on the hunt for second hand props, or recycled material to make props.
